Description
A community-run server for Beyond All Reason. This is not the official BAR server. Battles are self-moderated through the lobby boss and vote system, and registration is open.

Game version
Same Recoil engine and BAR game version as the official server, kept in sync automatically. The server hosts BAR's popular map pool (77 maps from the popular 2p / 8p / 16p lists), and your client downloads maps automatically. Players wanting to play their own maps, or old versions of maps will be supported - just ask and we'll make it happen.

Capacity
Server capacity will be increased as more players join regularly. Currently it can probably host a maximum of 64 players at any given time.

Accounts
Accounts are separate from the official BAR server. Create a new account the first time you connect using "Register" in the lobby login window. Your official BAR account, rating and friends list do not carry over.

How to connect
In the Beyond BAR launcher, pick "SolarGang BAR Server" from the community server list, then start BAR.

Status
New server (launched September 2026) - feedback welcome.
